Water Stewardship Specialist ,
Alexis leads WWF’s global efforts on water stewardship. This includes oversight on the Water Risk Filter (a leading tool exploring corporate water risk, mitigation and valuation), leading WWF’s work on water in standards, developing the concept of context-based water targets, and generally supporting WWF’s global Freshwater practice. He has worked on partnerships with multiple Global 2000 companies on water, including H&M, Heineken, Mondi, Ecolab, and Nestle.
Alexis helped to establish the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), where he currently sits as a board member. Alexis has also sat as a member of the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling (ISEAL) stakeholder council, helped in the revision of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)’s water (303) revision, and is currently a member of CDP Water’s advisory council. He has also worked with World Bank, the Pembina Institute, and recently published on book chapter on water valuation with Oxford University Press. He holds a BA from Western University, an MSc from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He lives in Vancouver, Canada.
