The Canadian Infrastructure Report Card of 2019 reported that 30 per cent of our linear assets (e.g., watermains, sewers), are in fair condition or worse. They are aging, leaking, and will get worse if maintenance is deferred. There is a massive need for new and rehabilitated water infrastructure that is also climate resilient. Is government spending aligned with local needs? Our panel discusses funding (and spending) trends, and where the best bang for the buck is at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
