Canadian Water Summit 2014 – June 18:
Water in Cities

Across Canada and around the world, organizations realize that by tackling our most pressing urban water challenges we can drive multiple social, environmental and economic benefits. Join business and government leaders for a day of urban water.

Keynote Luncheon Speaker: Edward Burtynsky

Edward Burtynsky is known as one of Canada's most respected photographers. His remarkable photographs are included in the collections of over fifty major museums around the world, including the National Gallery of Canada, the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California.

Burtynsky’s new film Watermark and his highly anticipated book Water tells us stories of where water comes from, how we use it, distribute and often, waste it. Frequently using a bird’s-eye perspective, the photographer shows us water’s remote sources, remarkable ancient step-wells and mass bathing rituals. Come to the Canadian Water Summit to hear and see this iconic Canadian’s perspective on water.
